Affordable, private house truck with safe stay. Composting toilet surprisingly relaxing. Great location for Upper Abel treks, beautiful surroundings, beach access, and outdoor cooking facilities. Unplugged and rejuvenating retreat.

The view was absolutely breathtaking, with stunning sunsets over the bay. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of work. The spacious accommodations provided a comfortable stay, and the outdoor bath was a luxurious touch. the kitchen was well-stocked, allowing for basic cooking necessities.
There were a few downsides to my stay. The non-flushing toilet took some getting used to and was not the most enjoyable experience.

This restored house with rooms on different levels has a cozy, rustic feel that made us feel right at home. We loved the wooden interior and the combined indoor/outdoor living space with breathtaking mountain views. It was the perfect place to unwind and disconnect from the busy world. The downstairs room, with access to an indoor shower and an outdoor bath, was a highlight for us. There's something invigorating about taking a bath in the great outdoors surrounded by nature. It was a unique experience that we won't forget.
While we enjoyed the access to an outdoor bath, the fact that the downstairs room is only accessible from the outside was a bit inconvenient for us. It required going outside to move between the different levels, especially during the night or in bad weather.

Golden Bay Hideaway is my go-to spot for a city break. I love the friendly staff who once helped my old parents with a sweet attitude. It has everything I need - free parking, a kettle, and a laundry. Perfect!

I gotta say, I got an amazing bang for my buck at this place. The room was top-notch, with a comfy bed and a kitchen that had everything I needed. And let me tell you about the location - it was like a slice of heaven with a view to die for. Plus, the staff treated me like royalty!
The hotel breakfast menu could use a little more variety.

The Amazing House Truck experience was absolutely unforgettable! Nestled high above Wainui Bay, it felt like we were in our very own cozy mountain cabin, but with breathtaking sea views to boot. It was like camping, but with all the comforts of a fully equipped wagon. Simply amazing!
